In a small bowl, mix the blackberries, sugar, and orange zest. Let the bowl stand for 20 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 375 F degrees.

Whisk together flour, baking powder, melted butter, and milk in a bowl.

Pour the batter in an 8 inch square baking dish.

Pour the blackberry mixture on top of the batter.

Bake for 40-50 minutes.

  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • Cream, whipped cream, or ice cream, if desired

Instructions

Mix the blackberries, sugar, and orange zest in a small bowl. Let stand for 20 minutes until syrupy
