Crock Pot Cube Steak

by Rachel

Sometimes a thick and delicious steak is exactly what you need. Unfortunately, not everybody has all the equipment required to make a mean steak. So, what can you do? Use your slow cooker, of course! This crock pot cube steak recipe is probably the easiest steak recipe you will ever find.

The flavors of chicken soup, celery soup, meat, and onion all mix beautifully together. Add a side of rice or mashed potatoes and you have a hefty meal that is perfect for a cozy night in. Find something light for dessert, because this meal will not leave you hungry!

How to make Crock Pot Cube Steak?

Mix together cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, half a can of water, and pepper in a bowl.

Slice the onion and separate it into rings.

Place the first steak at the bottom of the crock pot and cover it with onion rings. Place another steak on top of it and top it with onion rings. Repeat for all of your steaks.

Pour the soup mixture into the pot.

Sprinkle some Lipton Onion Soup Mix on top of the meat and cook on low for 6 hours.

Can you cook crock pot cube steak on high?

Sure! If you need to save time and cook this meal faster, you can cook it on high. Generally speaking, it’s safe to divide the time it would take to cook on low by 2. In this cake, it should take you 3 hours to cook on high.

What do you serve with crock pot cube steak?

The steak will come out with some delicious, thick sauce. You need your side to absorb some of the sauce, so choose something starchy. Rice or mashed potatoes will do the job perfectly. If you’re opting for a healthier meal, you can steam or grill some veggies.

Can you put frozen steak in the crock pot?

Technically, yes, but it wouldn’t work with this recipe. You would need to extend your cooking time by hours, considering this is already a slow cooker recipe. Because of that, we recommend defrosting the meat before putting it in the crock pot.
