by Rachel

We can never get tired of crock pot meals in this house! Think about it, what’s not to like? Slow cooker meals require minimal effort from you. All you have to do is drop some ingredients in the crock pot and go about your day. Dinner will be ready to serve before you know it. No stirring frequently or making sure the food doesn’t overcook!

This chicken teriyaki is delicious and easy to make. If you’re in the mood for Asian, there’s no need to get it from anywhere but your own kitchen. All you need is a few simple ingredients. Don’t forget to get to cooking way before meal time. Though it doesn’t take a lot of your time, it does take a few hours to get the food to cook.

How to make Crock Pot Chicken Teriyaki?

In a large bowl, combine chicken broth, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and garlic.

Add chicken into the mix and toss it.

Pour the resulting chicken mixture into the crock pot.

Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. Check to make sure the chicken is cooked through.

Serve the chicken with hot rice and an extra spoon of sauce.

Should I cook chicken on low or high in the crock pot?

If you don’t like dry and overcooked chicken, always cook it on low. If you have all day, you’ve got nothing to lose! You can check on the chicken from time to time to make sure it’s not overcooked or undercooked. If you’re in a bit of a time press, cook the chicken on high for a shorter time.

Can you put raw chicken in the crock pot?

Yes, of course! The only thing you need to do is to wait for it to cook through completely. That may take 6 hours, but it will cook through. Or, if you’d like, you can brown the chicken first. That creates more flavor and slightly decreases the cooking time.

How long does it take to cook frozen chicken in a slow cooker?

Fully frozen chicken will take you approximately 6 hours to cook through. If you’re working with frozen chicken, pour some water into the slow cooker along with the chicken pieces.
