How to make Lemon Butter Baked Shrimp?

Preheat your oven to 350 F degrees.

Mix the melted butter with the minced garlic in a small bowl.

Pour the mixture out into your 9 x 11 glass casserole dish. Make sure it spreads all over the surface.

Add a layer of lemon slices on top of the butter. They should cover the whole surface of the casserole dish.

Add your shrimps on top of the layer of lemon slices.

Season the shrimps with Italian seasoning, parsley flakes, and pepper.

Bake for 15 minutes on 350 F degrees.

What can I serve lemon butter baked shrimp with?

When the dish comes out of the oven, you’ll have some garlic lemon shrimp sauce too. You can serve the shrimps with rice and pour the sauce over it. Alternatively, serve your shrimps with salad for a fresh meal. Potatoes go well with seafood too!

How can I make sure I don’t overcook the shrimp?

Overcooked shrimp often has a rubbery texture. If you want to enjoy soft and juicy shrimp, you have to cook it just right. The time suggested in this recipe might not be perfect for all ovens. Keep an eye on your shrimps and take them out of the oven as soon as the flesh turns pink. Any longer than that and it will turn brown, resulting in a chewy texture.

Can I use prawns in this recipe?

Prawns and shrimps come from the same family. For the sake of the recipe, it doesn’t really matter which you use. Keep in mind that prawns are usually bigger, thus they might need more time in the oven. If you like this recipe, you can experiment with different seafood. Salmon in a lemon butter sauce would taste just as good!
